Prepare yourself for a flavor explosion with plenty of heat! In this recipe, you’ll marinate shrimp in our tangy, smoky Aardvark Reaper Smoked Hot Sauce. Oh yeah. Then, to cool things off – and amp up the umami – top off your taco with a healthy drizzle of Cilantro Lime Sauce.

Cilantro Lime Sauce

1/2 cup sour cream or full-fat Greek yogurt 

1/2 cup chopped green onions  

½ cup cilantro leaves  

Juice of 2 limes 

Shrimp Taco Filling

1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed 

1/2 cup Aardvark Reaper Smoked Hot Sauce 

2/3 cup shredded Green Cabbage  

8 small tortillas  

Avocado, cotija cheese, and lime (optional)  


Cilantro Sauce: Pulse all ingredients in a food processor or blend until smooth 

Shrimp: Marinate shrimp in Aardvark Reaper for 30-60 minutes in the fridge

Slaw: Toss some of the cilantro sauce with the cabbage; leaving some for the taco topping. 

Shrimp: Once marinated, add a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp when the pan is nice and hot and sauté for 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the shrimp is cooked.  

Taco construction: Fill your tortilla shell with the prepared shrimp and slaw. Add additional toppings like smashed avocado, cotija cheese, and extra cilantro sauce to finish it off.
