10 reviews for Drunken Jerk Jamaican Marinade

I bought this recently to try out after watching Hot Ones. It’s FREAKING DELICIOUS! I bought a bottle and used the whole thing in one day while marinating chicken wings for a guys day of wings and beer. I’m not known for being a grillmaster, but all the guys that were over said they were the best damn wings they’ve had in a very long time. And they definitely pack a little kick! Overall I highly recommend this, especially for wings.

Hots Ones represent! I decided to try this after hearing that it would go well on a burger. Especially since I hadn’t considered adding hot sauce to a burger for any reason (I just normally add peppers). Wow, does this stuff taste amazing! Goes well in some hummus, and adds a flavorful kick to spaghetti sauce! I would treat this as a marinade or an ingredient to add to something bigger, and of course, toss some wings with it. Worth the price, and I intend to buy it again.

I’m concerned that I haven’t found anything this sauce doesn’t make better…even GREAT stuff is better with this damn sauce. Are you the snarky sort who just thought, “Yea, put it on fruit and get back to me?” Done did, Snarkster. Threw a quick hit of Drunken Jerk across a citrus medley and topped a pork loin. Added to mayo, makes any sammie sing. Breakfast? It makes the family bow to my bacon. It dances with rather than stepping on flavors, and adds just the right amount of heat. I really like the black bean, and a habanero too. I just seem to be running a 3:1 purchase ratio on the Drunken Jerk epicness! Do yourself a favor and buy 2.

Don’t buy it unless you are into having everything in the house be a candidate for jerk sauce application.

I LOVE Aardvark hot sauce, up until Amazon started carrying it I had to have my sister in law mail it to me from the PNW (where I first discovered it) every so often. Thanks to Amazon I discovered they had different flavor and sauce options! This is a new favorite, I use about half a bottle with Chicken or Turkey thighs in the instant pot for 20 minutes, shred it up, and serve that with nachos/tacos/rice + beans. SO GOOD! A good amount of heat!

Hands down the best jerk I’ve tried so far but buyer beware this ain’t for the faint of heart. She has some heat and the flavor keeps you coming back for more.

This sauce starts out with a sweet flavor that builds in heat toward the back of the mouth. Use sparingly for amazing flavor. I especially love marinating chicken breast and then covering them with a layer of onions seasoned with additional sauce before baking in the oven at 400 degrees.
