
Garlic Black Bean Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or plant-based crumbles
- ½ cup Drunken Garlic Black Bean sauce
- ½ of an onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts drained and cut in quarters
- Lettuce – romaine leaves or leaf lettuce. Break off the leaves and rinse. Dry with a
paper towel. - Sliced green onions and sliced radishes to use as toping
- Kimchi – We use Choi’s Kimchi
Preparation
- Sauté the onions in oil until soft on medium high heat
- Add ground beef or plant-based crumbles and cook until browned
- Add Drunken Garlic Black Bean Sauce, heat through, about 1 minute on medium high
- Add water chestnuts and cook for about 1 minute or until hot
- Scoop mixture into lettuce leaves.
- Top with green onions and/or radishes
- Serve Kimchi on top or on the side
