If you’re not already cooking everything in the fridge with this BBQ sauce, you’re in for an extra big treat when you mix it up with some bacon-wrapped shrimp. Mmmmm….
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 20 Minutes
Number of Servings: 4
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
10-12 slices of bacon
Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Take a slice of bacon and wrap it around a shrimp. Repeat this process for each shrimp, using one slice of bacon per shrimp. Secure the bacon in place by skewering the shrimp through the bacon and onto the soaked wooden skewer. Repeat until all the shrimp are wrapped.
Brush each shrimp generously with olive oil on all sides. This will help prevent sticking and promote even cooking. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper.
Brush the shrimp with liberal amounts of our Bourbon Habanero BBQ Sauce
Place the bacon-wrapped shrimp skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp turn pink. Rotate the skewers occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Add pineapple separately to the grill for light cooking on each side. Remove once grill marks are achieved.
Remove the skewers from the grill once the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are fully cooked. Be cautious when handling the skewers, as they will be hot.
Serve the bacon-wrapped shrimp skewers hot with lemon wedges on the side. They make a delicious appetizer or main course. Enjoy!
