Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

Aardvark Drunken Fry Sauce

1 cup mayo

2 tablespoons Ketchup

2 tablespoons Secret Aardvark Drunken Jerk Sauce

2 teaspoons pickle juice

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Burger

8 slices thick-cut bacon

2 lbs. ground beef

4 thin slices cheddar cheese

4 thin slices red onion

Lettuce

4 sesame seed hamburger buns

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix together ingredients for Drunken Fry Sauce and set in fridge until burger is ready.

Cook bacon in a large cast-iron skillet, over medium heat. Cook, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden, about 10 minutes. Transfer bacon to a nonstick baking sheet. Discard (or save!) bacon fat and wipe skillet clean. Heat over medium-high heat until hot, about 5 minutes.

Loosely form the beef into 4 equal balls. Add one ball of beef to the skillet and flatten with spatula. Sprinkle with salt and repeat with the remaining beef balls.

Let cook until well browned on the bottoms, 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the patties, sprinkle with more salt. Top the patties with a slice of cheese. Continue cooking until cheese is melted around edges, about 2 minutes.

Spread Drunken Jerk Fry Sauce onto each bun. Serve the patties on the bottom buns. Add bacon, onion, tomato, and lettuce. Enjoy!
