Forkable – Why Great Hot Sauce Shouldn’t Dribble off Your Plate
From time to time, we get someone who’s new to our hot sauces asking, “Why the plastic bottle?” It’s a great question. So, we’ll tell you why.
Fact #1: Our hot sauce is food.
It’s a choice we made from the very beginning: to use fresh ingredients like tomato, carrot, and onion. And to use a lot of them. Because…flavor!
Then, we prefer simplicity. No fillers, no BS, and no over-processing to achieve the perfect consistency. To us, that means being just thick enough to add some heft and substance to every bite.
So, yep, you gotta squeeze to get that chunky goodness out (especially the last bit at the bottom of the bottle, oh-so-good!). We think you’ll agree the flavor is worth it every time.
Fact #2: You want hot sauce that stays where you put it.
We like our sauce not only to taste amazing, but also to feel sublime. So, we not only avoid over-processing, but we also avoid thinning out our sauce with extra water.
The result? Our hot sauce doesn’t splash across your plate like some TV crime scene. After all, you’re the master of your meal. You want it in the middle of your eggs, we’ll give it to you in the middle of your eggs.
Fact #3: We earned our stripes at the diner counter.
Aardvark grew up as a tabletop sauce, and you’ll find it right next to the ketchup and mustard in diners, bars, and restaurants. It’s a go-to bottle you grab any moment you need a bit more kick and flavor. That’s why a classic condiment bottle feels right at home to us.
So, there you go. This is one “forkable” hot sauce that deserves a good squeeze.
