Secret Aardvark’s Ballpark BuffaDog
A classic game-day hot dog starring BuffaDill Green Buffalo Sauce
There’s just something about a hot dog at a baseball game. Maybe it’s the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, or the fact that everything tastes better when you’re enjoying the sunshine with mustard dribbling down your face and onto your favorite white shirt.
And since we teamed up with our hometown heroes, Portland Pickles Baseball, to create Secret Aardvark’s BuffaDill Green Buffalo Sauce, it felt only right to honor the beloved stadium dog with a tangy, dill-laden Aardvark twist.
Here’s how to bring that classic ballpark hot dog flavor home and turn your own backyard into the best seat in the house.

Warm up Your Dogs
Grill method (classic): Preheat grill to medium. Grill hot dogs for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they have nice char marks and are heated through.
Steamed method (soft and juicy, like at the ballpark): Place hot dogs in a steamer basket over simmering water and steam for 5–7 minutes.
Or heat them in the microwave: Quick and tasty still counts!
Steam your buns. You want them warm and soft, but not soggy. If you don’t have a steamer, microwave them wrapped in a damp paper towel for 10–20 seconds.

Build Your Dog
Place the hot dog in the bun
Top with a squiggle of yellow mustard
Sprinkle with chopped onions
Crumple those chips on top!
Drizzle generously with Secret Aardvark BuffaDill Green Buffalo Hot Sauce
Serving Tips
Wrap it in foil or wax paper: Just like the ones handed over the counter at the game. Bonus points if you slightly crumple the foil first for that “straight-from-the-concession-stand” look. Add a cheap plastic cup of lemonade or your favorite beer to seal the “dill.”
