At Secret Aardvark, community is important to us. That’s why we make it a goal each year to give at least 3% of our profits back to organizations that matter to us.

In 2020, we might have gone a little overboard. But it was a hard year for a lot of people and we wanted to give back. Between COVID, wildfires, and unemployment, too many people in our community were going hungry. That’s why we focused heavily on food security this year. Here are a few of the organizations dedicated to food security that we donated our money and our products to. If you can, please consider supporting these causes as well.

Oregon Food Bank

Oregon Food Bank aims to eliminate hunger and its root causes. They collect food from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, individuals and government sources and distribute that food through a Statewide Network of 21 Regional Food Banks and approximately 1,400 food assistance sites serving all of Oregon and Clark County, Washington.

Gresham Women’s Shelter

The Gresham Women’s Shelter is a shelter for anyone who identifies as a woman. The Women’s Shelter is a hybrid program that works with all women including those who have experienced domestic violence.

p;ear

p:ear mentors Portland’s homeless youth to affirm personal worth and create healthier lives and communities.

No Kid Hungry

No Kid Hungry is the only national campaign committed to ending childhood hunger in the U.S. Childhood hunger is a solvable problem.

Birch Community Services
